Section 1 Title and commencement

The title of these Regulations is the Education (School Day and School Year) (Wales) (Amendment and Revocation) Regulations 2022 and they come into force on 23 February 2022.

Section 2 Amendment of the Education (School Day and School Year) (Wales) Regulations 2003

(1) The Education (School Day and School Year) (Wales) Regulations 2003 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 4—

(a) in paragraph (2), omit “Subject to paragraph (2A),”;

(b) omit paragraphs (2A) and (2B);

(c) at the end, insert—

(8) The reference in paragraph (2) to 380 sessions is to be taken as a reference to 378 sessions in relation to the school year 2021–2022.

(3) Omit regulation 6.

Section 3 Revocation of Education (School Day and School Year) (Wales) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020

The Education (School Day and School Year) (Wales) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020 are revoked.
