s 63 Extension of offence under Article 14 of the 1995 Order
(1) Article 14 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 (NI 18) (causing death or grievous bodily injury by careless driving when under influence of drink or drugs) is amended as follows. (2) In paragraph (1), after sub-paragraph (c) insert or (d) he is required by a constable to give his permission for a laboratory test of a specimen of blood taken from him under Article 18A, but without reasonable excuse fails to do so, (3) In paragraph (3), for “and (c)” substitute “ , (c) and (d) ” . (4) In Article 26(1) of the Road Traffic Offenders (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 (NI 10) (alternative verdicts), in the Table, in the entry relating to Article 14 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1995, in the second column, after “Article 18(7) (failing to provide specimen)” insert “ Article 18A(6) (failing to give permission for laboratory test) ” .
