Sch 1 para 2 Water Meters
(1) The essential requirements relating to water meters intended for the measurement of volumes of clean, cold or heated water in residential, commercial and light industrial use are— (a) the requirements set out in Annex I to the Directive; and (b) the specific requirements of Annex III to the Directive subject to the modification specified in sub-paragraph (2). (2) The modification referred to in sub-paragraph (1)(b) is that point 10 of the specific requirements in Annex III is to be read as follows— Putting into use (10) The requirements under points 1, 2 and 3 are determined by the utility or the person legally designated for installing the meter, so that the meter is appropriate for the accurate measurement of consumption that is foreseen or foreseeable. (3) The conformity assessment procedures specified in the modules in Annex II to the Directive applicable to water meters of the kind referred to in sub-paragraph (1) are— (a) B and F; (b) B and D; or (c) H1.
