Unless specified otherwise in an instrument-specific Schedule, the scale interval for a measured value shall be in the form 1 × 10 n , 2 × 10 n , or 5 × 10 n , where n is any integer or zero. The unit of measurement or its symbol shall be shown close to the numerical value.
