s 40 Power to compound

(1) The Commissioner may compound any offence against this Act or any regulations made under this Act by collecting from the person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum of money not exceeding the maximum fine prescribed for that offence. (2) Where an offence has been compounded under subsection (1), no prosecution shall thereafter be instituted in respect of the compounded offence. (3) Any moneys paid to the Commissioner under this section shall be paid into and form part of the Consolidated Fund.

Kuasa untuk mengkompaun

(1) Pesuruhjaya boleh mengkompaun apa-apa kesalahan terhadap Akta ini atau mana-mana peraturan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini dengan memungut daripada orang yang semunasabahnya disyaki melakukan kesalahan itu sejumlah wang yang tidak melebihi denda maksimum yang ditetapkan bagi kesalahan itu. (2) Jika suatu kesalahan telah dikompaun di bawah subseksyen (1), tiada pendakwaan boleh sesudah itu dimulakan berkenaan dengan kesalahan yang telah dikompaun. (3) Apa-apa wang yang dibayar kepada Pesuruhjaya di bawah seksyen ini hendaklah dibayar ke dalam dan menjadi sebahagian daripada Kumpulan Wang Disatukan.
