SECTION 1. The sum of five thousand pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be expended under the direction of the Governor-General, for all necessary expenses incident to the reservation, laying out, construction, care, and maintenance for historical and other purposes, of the land and house where Jose Rizal lived in the municipality of Calamba, Province of La Laguna, to be known as the "Rizal Museum," in commemoration of the Filipino patriot, Jose Rizal.
The Governor-General is hereby authorized to carry out all such measures as may be necessary for the foundation and maintenance of said museum by restoring, if deemed advisable, the old buildings or erecting other buildings, making parks and doing other necessary work for the embellishment of said place, accepting private donations for such purpose or condemning private property, as the case may be.
