Section 1

SECTION 1. Article thirteen hundred and eighty-seven of the Civil Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

"ART. 1387. The married woman, of age, may alienate, encumber or mortgage or otherwise dispose of her paraphernal property, and appear in court to litigate with regard to the same, without necessity of the permission or presence of the husband."

Section 2

SEC. 2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed.

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
