Section 1Title and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Postponement of Elections and Reorganisation) (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 … Commencement …

Section 2Interpretation

(1) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order (except Article 5(2)) as it applies to an Act of the Parliament of Northern Ireland.

(3) Expressions used in Article 3 which are defined in the Electoral Law Act (Northern Ireland) 1962 have the same meanings in that Article as in that Act.
