Section 1

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Arsenic in Food (Amendment) Regulations, 1960; and shall come into operation on the 14th day of December, 1960.

(2) The Interpretation Act, 1889, shall apply to the interpretation of these regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 2

The Arsenic in Food Regulations, 1959 , shall be amended as follows:—

(a) by substituting in the first column of item 11 of the Schedule thereto for the words “Yeast and yeast products” the words “Yeast and yeast products, other than brewers' yeast intended for use by manufacturers in the manufacture of yeast products” ;

(b) by adding to the Schedule thereto the following item:—

(calculated on the dry matter).
