Section 1 Citation, construction and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Overseas Service Superannuation (Amendment) Order 1964 and shall be construed as one with the Overseas Service Superannuation Orders 1961 and 1962 .

(2) This Order and the Overseas Service Superannuation Orders 1961 and 1962 may be cited together as the Overseas Service Superannuation Orders 1961 to 1964.

(3) This Order shall come into operation on 15th January 1964.

Section 2 Amendment of paragraph 26 of Order of 1961

Paragraph 26(3) of the Overseas Service Superannuation Order 1961 is amended by the substitution for head ( b ) of the following head—

(‘(b) “ notional graduated retirement benefit ” means the amount of the minimum rate of equivalent pension benefits applicable under the provisions of Part II of the National Insurance Act 1959 in respect of any period of his non-participating service ;’.
