Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Science and Technology Act 1965 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1965.

Section 2

The 1st June 1965 is hereby appointed as the day upon which the following provisions of the Science and Technology Act 1965 shall come into force:

(i) subsections (3) and (4) of section 3 (for all purposes);

(ii) subsection (5) of section 3 so far as is necessary for giving effect to the provisions in Schedule 2 for the amendment of Acts of Parliament other than the Income Tax Act 1952.

Section 3

The 1st June 1965 is also hereby appointed as the day upon which all the repeals provided for by subsection (3) of section 6 of and Schedule 4 to the Science and Technology Act 1965, except the repeal of section 2 of the Atomic Energy Authority Act 1959, are to take effect.
