Section 1

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Coast Protection (Variation of Excluded Waters) Regulations 1965, and shall come into operation on 16th February 1965.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1899 applies to the interpretation of these regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 2

Schedule 4 to the Coast Protection Act 1949 shall be varied as follows:—

For paragraph 21 there shall be substituted the following paragraph—

(21) The River Thames, above a line drawn from the westernmost point of Dagnum Saltings in the parish of Allhallows in the County of Kent, to Canvey Point, and thence to the westernmost point of the boundary of the County Borough of Southend, and the whole of the waters of Yantlet Creek.
