Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Science and Technology Act 1965 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1965.

Section 2

The 1st April 1965 is hereby appointed as the day upon which the following provisions of the Science and Technology Act 1965 shall come into force:

(i) subsections (1) and (2) of section 3 (for all purposes); and

(ii) subsections (5) of section 3 so far as is necessary for giving effect to the provisions in Schedule 2 for the amendment of the Income Tax Act 1952, and to the provisions of Schedule 3.
