These regulations may be cited as the National Assistance (Professions Supplementary to Medicine) (Amendment) Regulations 1968, and shall come into operation on 1st May 1968.

The National Assistance (Professions Supplementary to Medicine) (Amendment) Regulations 1968
The Interpretation Act 1889 applies to the interpretation of these regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
(1) With effect from the coming into operation of these regulations, after the words “occupational therapist,” in regulation 3 of the National Assistance (Professions Supplementary to Medicine) Regulations 1964 , there shall be inserted the word “orthoptist,” .
(2) Paragraph (b) of regulation 3 and regulation 4 of the said Regulations shall not apply to the employment of any officer in the capacity of orthoptist.
