Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Redundant Mineworkers (Payments Scheme) (Amendment) Order 1971 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1971.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 2

The Redundant Mineworkers (Payments Scheme) Order 1968 is amended—

(a) by substituting in article 2 thereof and in paragraph (b) of Article 3 of the Schedule thereto the date “26th March 1972” for the date “28th March 1971” ; and

(b) by substituting in paragraph (1)(b) of Article 8 of the Schedule thereto the date “29th March 1975” for the date “30th March 1974” .
