Section 1

These Rules may be cited as the Superannuation (Civil Service Transfer Rules) (Revocation) Rules 1972, and shall come into operation on 11th December 1972.

Section 2

The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of these Rules as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament, and as if these Rules and the Rules hereby revoked were Acts of Parliament.

Section 3

(1) The Rules specified in the Schedule to these Rules are hereby revoked.

(2) The revocation of any Rules by paragraph (1) above shall not affect the operation of those Rules in relation to any person who became, or ceased to be, employed as a civil servant before 1st June 1972.
