Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Import Duties Act 1958 (Repeals) (Appointed Day) Order 1973 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1974.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 2

The repeal of the enactments specified in the Schedule hereto shall take effect on 1st January 1974.
