The Increase of Pensions (Police and Fire Services) (Amendment) Regulations 1973

Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Increase of Pensions (Police and Fire Services) (Amendment) Regulations 1973.

Section 2

These Regulations shall come into operation on 1st April 1973 and shall have effect as from 1st April 1972.

Section 3

At the end of paragraph (1) of Regulation 4 of the Increase of Pensions (Police and Fire Services) Regulations 1971 (pensions reduced on account of additional benefit) there shall be added the words “being, in the case of a pension payable otherwise than in accordance with the Fireman's Pension Scheme, a pension payable to a person who retired, or ceased to hold office, before 1st April 1972” .

Section 4

(1) In paragraph (1) of Regulation 5 of the said Regulations of 1971 (police, special constabulary and police cadet supplemental pensions) after the words “a supplemental pension” there shall be inserted the words “and, in the case of paragraph (2), where an injury pension” .

(2) In paragraph (2) of the said Regulation 5 after the word “supplemental” there shall be inserted the world “or injury” .
