The Increase of Pensions (Police and Fire Services) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1973

Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Increase of Pensions (Police and Fire Services) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1973.

Section 2

These Regulations shall come into operation on 1st July 1973 and shall have effect as from 1st April 1972.

Section 3

For paragraph (1) of Regulation 4 of the Increase of Pensions (Police and Fire Services) Regulations 1971 , as amended , (pensions reduced on account of additional benefit), there shall be substituted the following provision:—

(1) This Regulation shall apply to a pension payable to or in respect of a person who retired, or ceased to serve, before 1st April 1972, being a pension payable in accordance with—

(a) the Police Pensions Regulations;

(b) the Special Constables (Pensions) Regulations;

(c) the Police Cadets (Pensions) Regulations, or

(d) the Firemen's Pension Scheme,

which is reduced in amount or is not payable on account of the payment of some additional benefit.
