(1) This order may be cited as the Housing Act 1974 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1974.
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 applies for the interpretation of this order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
(3) In this order “ the Act ” means the Housing Act 1974 .
The provisions of the Act specified in the Schedule to this order shall come into operation on 20th August 1974.
The provisions of Schedule 9 to the Act shall come into operation on 31st August 1974.
