Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Coal Industry Nationalisation Act 1946 (Repeals) Regulations 1974 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1975.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of these Regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 2 Repeals

Sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 42 of the Coal Industry Nationalisation Act 1946 are each hereby repealed.
