Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Ministry of Fuel and Power Act 1945 (Repeal) Regulations 1974 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1975.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of these Regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 2 Repeal

In section 1(1) of the Ministry of Fuel and Power Act 1945, the words “of maintaining and improving the safety, health and welfare of persons employed in or about mines and quarries therein,” are hereby repealed.
