Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Explosives Acts 1875 and 1923 etc. (Repeals and Modifications) (Amendment) Regulations 1974 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1975.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of these Regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 2 Amendment

In the Explosives Acts 1875 and 1923 etc. (Repeals and Modifications) Regulations 1974 , in Schedule 1 (which sets out in column 1 the provisions of the Explosives Act 1875 repealed by those Regulations and in column 2 the extent to which those provisions are repealed), for the entries relating to sections 73, 75 and 89 of that Act there shall be substituted respectively the following entries:—
