Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These rules may be cited as the Superannuation (Teachers' Interchange) (Revocation) Rules 1974 and shall come into operation on 1st June 1974.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of these rules as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament; and section 38(2) (effect of repeals) of that Act shall have effect in relation to the rules specified in the schedule as if they were enactments repealed by an Act.

Section 2 Revocation of rules

(1) The rules specified in the schedule are hereby revoked.

(2) Paragraph (1) shall not affect the operation of the rules thereby revoked in relation to any person who became, or ceased to be, employed as a teacher in reckonable service before 1st April 1972.
