Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation
(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Employers' Health and Safety Policy Statements (Exception) Regulations 1975 and shall come into operation on 1st November 1975.
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of these Regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
Section 2Exception from provisions relating to employers' health and safety policy statements
Any employer who carries on an undertaking in which for the time being he employs less than five employees is hereby excepted as respects that undertaking from the provisions of subsection (3) of section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (which subsection requires employers to bring to the notice of their employees a written statement of their general policy with respect to the health and safety at work of their employees and the organisation and arrangements for the time being in force for carrying out that policy).
