The Local Authorities (Temporary Use of Labour) Order 1975

Section 1

This order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Temporary Use of Labour) Order 1975 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1975.

Section 2

(1) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

(2) In this order “ officers ”, in relation to any authority, includes the holders of any offices or employments under that authority.

Section 3

Any authority named in column (1) of the following table may until 31st March 1977 enter into agreements with any local authority for the construction of buildings or works wholly or substantially so in the area of the former borough specified in respect of such authority in column (2) which will engage the services of their officers.
