The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Modification) Order 1975

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Modification) Order 1975 and shall come into operation on 1st May 1975.

Section 2

(1) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 as amended by the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Modification) Order 1973 .

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 3

Schedule 2 to the Act (which specifies the drugs which are subject to control under that Act) shall be amended by the insertion in paragraph 1 of Part I of that Schedule—

(a) after the word “Diethylthiambutene” , of the words “Difenoxin (1-(3-cyano-3,3-diphenylpropyl)-4-phenylpiperidine-4-carboxylic acid)” ; and

(b) after the word “Trimeperidine” , of the words

4-Bromo-2,5-dimethoxy-α-methylphenethylamine
