This order may be cited as the Salmon and Migratory Trout (Prohibition of Fishing) Amendment Order 1975 and shall come into operation on 19th May 1975.

The Salmon and Migratory Trout (Prohibition of Fishing) Amendment Order 1975
The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
In Article 3(2) of the Salmon and Migratory Trout (Prohibition of Fishing) ( No. 2) Order 1972 there shall be inserted—
(a) after the word “drift-net” where it first occurs, the words “or other gill net” ;
(b) at the end, the following definition—“
“ gill net ” means any length of net being a net designed for the purpose of catching fish by enmeshing them.
In accordance with the provisions of section 5(3) of the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967 it is hereby declared that this order is not made for the sole purpose of giving effect to such a convention or agreement as is mentioned in section 5(1) of that Act.
