Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Customs Duties (Repeals) (Appointed Day) Order 1976 and shall come into operation on 1st September 1976.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 2

The repeal of the enactments specified in the Schedule hereto shall take effect on 1st September 1976.
