Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Colonial Probates Act (Application to the New Hebrides) Order 1976 and shall come into operation on 14th May 1976.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the purpose of interpreting this Order as it applies for the purpose of interpreting an Act of Parliament.

Section 2

The Colonial Probates Act 1892 shall extend and apply to the New Hebrides to the extent of Her Majesty's jurisdiction.
