The Pensions Commutation (Amendment) Regulations 1977

Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions Commutation (Amendment) Regulations 1977, and shall come into operation on 10th February 1977.

Section 2

The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of these Regulations as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 3

The Pensions Commutation Regulations 1968, as amended , shall be further amended by substituting for Regulation (1) thereof, the following Regulation:—

(9)

(1) There shall be charged in respect of the commutation of any pension or any portion of a pension a fee of 1½ per cent. on the amount awarded;

provided that such fee shall not be less than £10 or more than £75 in any case.
