Section 1Citation, interpretation and commencement

These regulations, which may be cited as the Social Security (Benefit) (Married Women and Widows Special Provisions) Amendment Regulations 1977 shall be read as one with the Social Security (Benefit) (Married Women and Widows Special Provisions) Regulations 1974 as amended (hereinafter referred to as the principal regulations) and shall come into operation on 30th September 1977.

Section 2Amendment of the principal regulations

In regulation 6(1) of the principal regulations after the words “of this regulation” there shall be inserted the words “and which falls before 6th April 1978.” .
