Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions Increase (Federated Superannuation System for Universities) (Amendment) Regulations 1977, and shall come into operation on 24th March 1977.

Section 2

The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of these Regulations as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

Section 3

The Pensions Increase (Federated Superannuation System for Universities) Regulations 1972 , as amended , shall be further amended, in Regulation 2 by adding at the end of the definition of “relevant employment” the following paragraph:—

(e) employment in the Norfolk Agricultural Station before 1st July 1950 if such employment commenced before 1st January 1948;
