Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Occupational Pensions Schemes (Public Service Pension Schemes) (Amendment) Regulations 1979 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1980.

(2) Expressions in these regulations have the same meaning as in the Social Security Act 1973 or, as the case may be, the Social Security Pensions Act 1975.

Section 2 Amendment of the Schedule to the Occupational Pension Schemes (Public Service Pension Schemes) Regulations 1978

The Schedule to the Occupational Pension Schemes (Public Service Pension Schemes) Regulations 1978 shall be amended by adding thereto the following occupational pension schemes:—

British Council Superannuation Scheme;

Schools Council Superannuation Scheme
