Section 1

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions Increase (Parliamentary Commissioner) Regulations 1979 and shall come into operation on 4th July 1979.

(2) In these Regulations “ pension ” means a pension within the meaning of the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971.

Section 2

(1) The Pensions (Increase) Act 1971 shall have effect in relation to a pension payable by virtue of paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967 as if it were a pension specified in Part I of Schedule 2 of the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971.
