The Litigants in Person (Costs and Expenses) Order 1980

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Litigants in Person (Costs and Expenses) Order 1980 and shall come into operation on 1st September 1980.

Section 2

In this Order, “ the Act ” means the Litigants in Person (Costs and Expenses) Act 1975.

Section 3

The Employment Appeal Tribunal shall be a tribunal specified for the purposes of section 1(1)(c) of the Act (in respect of proceedings in England and Wales) and section 1(2)(c) of the Act (in respect of proceedings in Scotland).

Section 4

For the purposes of this Order, the expression “ rules of court ” in section 1(4)(c) of the Act shall mean rules made under paragraph 17 of Schedule 11 to the Employment Protection (Consolidation) Act 1978 .
