Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions Increase (Federated Superannuation System for Universities) (Amendment) Regulations 1980, and shall come into operation on 5th January 1981.

Section 2 Interpretation

In these Regulations, “ the principal Regulations ” means the Pensions Increase (Federated Superannuation System for Universities) Regulations 1972 .

Section 3 Amendment of principal Regulations

The principal Regulations shall be further amended—

(a) in Regulation 2(1), by adding, at the end of the definition of “relevant employment” , the following paragraph:—

(f) employment by the Imperial College of Tropical Agriculture before 1st August 1960;

(b) in Schedule 2, by inserting after the entry relating to the Natural Environment Research Council the words “Nature Conservancy Council,” after the entry relating to the Royal Agricultural College the words “Royal College of Surgeons,” and after the entry relating to Studley College the words “University College at Buckingham.”
