Section 1
These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic Acts 1960 and 1972, and Road Traffic Regulation Act 1967 (Metrication) (No.2) Regulations 1981 and shall come into operation on 1st November 1981.

Section 2
For the words expressing imperial units of measurement specified in column (2) of the Schedule to these Regulations in the sections in the Road Traffic Act 1960, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1967, and the Road Traffic Act 1972 specified in column (1) of that Schedule there are substituted the words expressing metric units of measurement specified in column (3) of that Schedule.
