Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Horserace Betting Levy Schemes (Variation of Settlement Period) Order 1981 and shall come into operation on 31st July 1981.

The Horserace Betting Levy Schemes (Variation of Settlement Period) Order 1981
Section 2
Section 1(2) of the Horserace Betting Levy Act 1969 (procedure for determination of annual scheme for bookmakers' levy where a scheme is not settled by agreement between the Bookmakers' Committee and the Horserace Betting Levy Board) shall, in relation to any levy period beginning after the coming into operation of this Order, be amended by substituting for the words “eight months” (which words were substituted by the Horserace Betting Levy Schemes (Variation of Settlement Period) Order 1978) the words “five months” .
Section 3
The Horserace Betting Levy Schemes (Variation of Settlement Period) Order 1978 is hereby revoked.
