Section 1 Citation, interpretation and commencement

These regulations, which may be cited as the Social Security (Overlapping Benefits) Amendment Regulations 1982, amend the Social Security (Overlapping Benefits) Regulations 1979 (hereinafter referred to as “ the principal regulations ”) and shall come into operation on 14th September 1982.

Section 2 Amendment of regulation 10 of the principal regulations

Paragraph (1) of regulation 10 of the principal regulations (adjustment of dependency benefit where certain personal benefit is payable) shall be further amended by substituting a semi-colon for the comma in sub-paragraph (g), and inserting after sub-paragraph (g) the following sub-paragraph:—

(h) a weekly allowance pursuant to arrangements made by the Manpower Services Commission under section 2 of the Employment and Training Act 1973 for the purpose of the Enterprise Allowance Scheme ,
