Section 1 Title, commencement and interpretation

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Wages Committees (Amendment) Regulations 1982, and shall come into operation on 17th September 1982.

(2) In these regulations “ the principal regulations ” means the Agricultural Wages Committees Regulations 1949 , and, unless the context otherwise requires, any reference herein to a numbered regulation shall be construed as a reference to the regulation bearing that number in the principal regulations.

Section 2 Amendment of the principal regulations

(1) The principal regulations shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation.

(2) In regulation 2 the definition of “The Executive Committee” shall be omitted.

(3) For paragraph (3) of regulation 3 there shall be substituted the following paragraph:

(3) Such members shall, in the case of representatives of workers in agriculture, be nominated by the General Executive Council

(4) In paragraph (4) of regulation 3 the words “the Executive Committee” shall be omitted.

(5) In regulation 6 the words “the Executive Committee” and the words “Executive Committee” shall be omitted.
