This Order may be cited as the Taking of Hostages (Jersey) Order 1982 and shall come into operation on 26th November 1982.

The Taking of Hostages (Jersey) Order 1982
In this Order, “ Jersey ” means the Bailiwick of Jersey and the territorial waters adjacent thereto, and “ the 1982 Act ” means the Taking of Hostages Act 1982.
Section 1 of the 1982 Act shall extend to Jersey with—
(a) the substitution, in subsection (1), of the word “Jersey” for the words “the United Kingdom” ; and
(b) the omission, in subsection (2), of the words “on indictment” .
Section 2 of the 1982 Act shall extend to Jersey with—
(a) the substitution, in subsection (1), of the words “except by or with the consent of the Attorney General for Jersey” for paragraphs (a) and (b); and
(b) the omission of subsections (2) and (3).
Sections 3(2) and 6(1) of the 1982 Act shall extend to Jersey.
