Section 1 Title and commencement

This order may be cited as the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) (Amendment) Order 1982 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1983.

Section 2 Amendment

The Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 1962 shall be amended as follows:—

(a) in Article 4(d) for the words “a suitable instrument;” there shall be substituted the words “a suitable instrument, unless the poult has reached the age of 21 days;” ; and

(b) in Article 4(e) for the words “a suitable instrument; and” there shall be substituted the words “a suitable instrument, unless, in the case of the removal of a comb, the fowl has reached the age of 72 hours.” .
