Section 1 Title and commencement

These regulations may be cited as the Mink (Keeping) (Amendment) Regulations 1982 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1983.

Section 2 Amendment of the principal regulations

The Mink (Keeping) Regulations 1975 shall be amended as follows:—

(a) in regulation 5(3) (fees payable in respect of the granting of licences) for “£35” there shall be substituted “£58” ;

(b) in paragraphs (2) and (3) of Schedule 2 (manner in which mink are to be confined and precautions to be observed) after the words “not greater than 26mm” where they occur in each of these paragraphs there shall be inserted the words “or, alternatively, welded mesh of not less than 15 gauge with a mesh size not greater than 26mm × 40mm” .
