Section 1Citation and interpretation
(1) This order may be cited as the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1982.
(2) In this order “ the Act ” means the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979 .

Section 2Appointed days
(1) The day appointed for the coming into operation of Schedule 2 to the Act (in so far as it is not already in force) shall be 15th September 1983.
(2) The day appointed for the coming into operation of paragraph 6(2) of Schedule 1 to the Act shall be 1st November 1983.
