The Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) (Revocation) Order 1983

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) (Revocation) Order 1983 and shall come into operation on 1st September 1983.

Section 2

In this Order—

(a) “ the Order of 1959 ” means the S.I. 1959/377 Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Order 1959;

(b) “ the Act of 1920 ” means the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act 1920.

Section 3

(1) Insofar as the Order of 1959 provides that the Act of 1920 shall extend to the countries and territories specified in paragraph (2) below, that Order is hereby revoked, and accordingly the names of those countries and territories shall be omitted from the First Schedule to that Order.

(2) The countries and territories referred to in paragraph (1) above are—

Anguilla

Falkland Islands and Dependencies

Isle of Man

Papua

St. Helena.

Section 4

Insofar as the Order of 1959, as it has effect by virtue of paragraph 3 of Schedule 2 to the Zimbabwe Act 1979, provides that the Act of 1920 shall extend to Zimbabwe, that Order is hereby revoked and, accordingly, the name of Southern Rhodesia shall be omitted from the First Schedule to that Order.
