Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (Amendment of section 20) Order 1983 and shall come into operation on 1st September 1983.

Section 2Amendment of Sex Discrimination Act

Subsections (1), (2) and (3) of section 20 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (certain provisions of Act not to apply to midwives) shall be amended by the insertion at the beginning of each of those subsections the words “Until 1st September 1983” .
