Section 1

This Order may be cited as the International Tropical Timber Organization (Legal Capacities) Order 1984. It shall come into operation on the date on which the International Tropical Timber Agreement , open for signature at New York from 2nd January 1984, enters into force in respect of the United Kingdom. That date shall be notified in the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes.

Section 2

The International Tropical Timber Organization (hereinafter referred to as the Organisation) is an organisation of which Her Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom and the Governments of other sovereign Powers are members.

Section 3

The Organisation shall have the legal capacities of a body corporate.
