This order may be cited as the Diseases of Fish (Definition of “Infected”) Order 1984 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1984.

The Diseases of Fish (Definition of “Infected”) Order 1984
For the definition of “infected” in section 10(1) of the Diseases of Fish Act 1937 there shall be substituted the following definition—
‘ infected ’ means , in relation to fish, infected with any of the diseases respectively known as bacterial kidney disease (BKD), furunculosis of salmon, infectious haematopoietic necrosis ( IHN ), infectious pancreatic necrosis (IPN), spring viraemia of carp (SVC), viral haemorrhagic septicaemia ( VHS ) and whirling disease (Myxosoma cerebralis);” .
There are hereby revoked—
(a) article 3 and article 4, except in so far as that article relates to the definition of the expression “infected waters”, of the Diseases of Fish Order 1973 and
(b) the Diseases of Fish Order 1978.
