Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the National Savings Stock Register (Amendment) Regulations 1984, and shall come into operation on 11th May 1984.

Section 2

The National Savings Stock Register Regulations 1976 shall be amended, in Regulation 41(1) (power to make payment without a grant of representation subject to a limit of £1,500 in respect of deaths occurring on or after 12th August 1975), by substituting for the words “£1,500” the words “£5,000” .

Section 3

These Regulations shall apply in relation to deaths occurring on or after the date on which these Regulations come into operation.
